This scene from "Vacation" starts off with a close shot that expresses Ed Helms is in conversation with someone. It then makes a 30 degree shift and comes to a frontal angle to keep with the continuity, the flow of sound continues as well. By the end of the scene, following with what the Ed Helms says it gives us a wide shot still keeping with the continuity then slowly pans down to the level of the car to convey that time has passed. It then cuts to the a frontal medium shot. Switching to a medium close up following the rule of thirds to show a conversation between two actors. Then cutting to yet another frontal ms by the end of which the actors are looking around from where it cuts to a pov (of the actor) shot. The pov shot follows another actor till he reaches a point to the 180 degree rule (this followed the continuity system). Following the 180 degree rule its edited back and forth to convey a conversation being exchanged. We then get a reaction shot (like the bird shots in the lecture): actor's point of view, other actor's point of view, actors' reactions. Cuts to the frontal ms again. Lastly, it cuts to a wide shot to show the surroundings and the movement of the actors.
